Hi sccy2c, my son's new and going out clothings are hand washed. Other than that, it is put in the machine with our clothes (the cleaner ones). My hubby's office clothes/socks are washed separately because he sweats a lot and not hygienic to wash with the rest of us. I put a little bleach and soap powder before washing his clothes.

Hi youngmum, Babies skin r very sensitve so it is better to hand wash their clothings. I use Pigeon Baby detergent powder..i find it very good and juz need a scoop or two to wash a big tub of clothings. Only lately, i use washing machine to wash my bb's clothing together wif my hub n myself (those much cleaner ones) but for his new clothings i still use hand washing. Sally

Hi youngmum, I have 2. That's enough for me. Children are expensive and difficult to look after as they grow. Men will 'stray' if they want to, regardless of age. The important thing is to share similar interests and treat each other with mutual respect, never putting him down esp in public. Men have ego and it's very impt to them. Babies are very clean little people, and they have sensitive skin too. The detergent used to wash our clothes is too strong for babies. It's safer to use a detergent me

Hi Janet, I really love to have lots of kids at home..Though i have strong family support, my mum warns me that if im 'always' either preg. or looking after the kids, later my husband will 'stray' Especially now that me & my husband are so young (he's still in NS!).. I did manage to get some cheap newborn baby's clothes in holland village shopping centre..Haha, $1.00 per pc..If only all baby's clothes were that cheap... Do I have to hand wash or can dump everything (including mittens etc)

Hi youngmum, the govt will be very happy to have more mothers like yourself. In any case, do take care of yourself during & after pregnancy. If you have strong family & financial support, have more kids. Every woman will fear labour pain, but after some time, they will forget and proceed to have more children. It's already end Aug, so get everything ready in case the baby decides to come earlier. You need to get all the baby's new clothes washed and dried. Don't attempt to get everything

Hi Jaslyn, my children are 4 years apart. My son has been the \"king\" before his sister came. My parents dote on him a lot because he had gone for 2 operations to repair his cleft lip/palate when he was a baby. We used to watch TV and do many things together. But now with his attention demanding sister around, I feel guilty not spending time with him like we used to. On top of that, I remind him that he is the elder brother now and have to love and protect his little sister. That makes him feel a little

Re:Hi ladies, janet here. I see a number of you ladies hoping for 2nd child. June, mummum, zhining, sally and daphne, work hard. Hope to hear good news from you soon. If you are financially and mentally prepared, don't wait too long. Starting all over again when the 1st child is 4 or 5 can be tough. On one hand, you don't want to neglect your 1st child, but the new baby demands a lot of attention and time. I feel guilty losing my temper with my son now at times.[/quote:60941f

Hi Shirley, it's taxing to start all over again. But hey do enjoy it while you can. I feel tired too, when she wakes up at 3 or 4 am. But then I carry her and sing until she goes back to sleep. We are in the same shoes, so maybe we can give each other moral support. All the best.

Hi Janet, Ya, previously stress to have 2nd child. Now stress looking after him. All the night feeds, jabs, teething problem are over for me. But he is too active and very sticky, so can be very taxing every nights and over the weekends.

Hi Shirley, I realized your children's gap is quite far apart. But it may be a blessing in a way for you. Your daughter is in K2 and will be going on to P1. Now you have a younger one at home for company. Of course, I do understand how stressful and tiring it is to start everything again. I am going through it now. Night feeds, teething problems, jabs and crying.

Having been comfortable with an \"independent\" toddler, it could be quite shocking to have to care for an infant and start all over again. I am not saying that it is not tough looking after kids with small age gap, but just manage your time carefully and try not to loose temper. I too am guilty of loosing my te

Hi daphne, it takes a little time and patience for the elder sibling to accept that he/she is no longer the \"king\" or the \"queen\" anymore. Involve the child when choosing baby's cothes during shopping trips. After the sex of the baby is confirmed and you have shortlisted some names, involve the child in selecting the name. Bring the child along (whenever possible) for the antenatal checkups. Constantly assure her that you will always love her. When the baby is born, involve her in doing simple thing
