Hi Yoan76, There is 2 ways.Noodle soup or dry noodle using the same kind of noodle. Noodle soup - Boil ikan bilis or chicken soup together with carrot/potatos or any veg u baby like for 20 mins or so and leave it aside - Boil the hard noodle in water until soft and drain out the water - when lunch time comes, reboil the soup and add in the noodle - u can selve with veg and chicken meat that u boil earlier D

My son likes \"mee tai bah\" more than others, he likes fat noodles then bee hoon. Well, not to give everyday than, noodles or rice with soup can serve as alternative when porridge become boring to them. Fine grains, oaks are another good choices too...

hi yoan76, my son also start to walk without support very late, only a few months back. You need to be more patient and give him encourge time by time, try to make him stand without support for few seconds, hold his hands to guide him to walk 1-2 steps, then slowly increase the steps, put him 2-3 steps away from you, encourge him to walk towards you, etc. Do not force him if he don't want to continue or tired. Do it when you play with him as a games, praise him when he did it even a small improvement.

Arailady, on average bbs should be walking before they are 18mths. MOst of my friends bbs walk around 14-15mths. My son start walking (without aid) after his 1st b'day at 13mths..now at 19mths he is running/ jumping all over. Don't push your bb to walk ..just provide ample opportunity for bb to practice and he will give you a big surprise. If they still cannot walk by 1.5yrs old then will definately need to bring to PD for a checkup.

WalkingThanks Janet88 I was worried cos the paed in KK told me that by 18 mths if he still doesn't walk, then there's something to worry about..Now at 13 months, he can only pull himself up to stand and sometimes only cruise around the furniture. Whereas my friend's son at 13 months can already run around...BTW your son right, that time when he learn to pull himself up, how many more months he needs to actually walk w/o support?

Hi hsee2005, I don't know how much she weighs now. My girl also drinks 3 times a day - morning (when she wakes up), afternoon, and night. As for lunch and dinner, she has porridge just like yours. When she wakes up in the afternoon and if she has already drank milk b4 that, I will give her baby biscuits. I guess you are feeding your girl the same as what I am giving. Should be alright as long as she doesn't vomit after her meals.

Hi Mums, my girl is almost 10 months old and yet to show a single tooth. However, I'm not too concerned nor worried about it. I just hope her 1st tooth will erupt without much problems. As for food, she is more selective now and wants to eat our table food. However, she is still taking her porridge. Sometimes, I spread some jam on a piece of bread for her in the mid-day as a form of tea break. She has tried durian but doesn't quite like the taste.

Hi Ruffybear, children go through different phases. My son is 5. He went through a phase of asking \"why\" whenever I told him to do/not to do something. It's always the same word, and it drove me nuts because I have to talk and talk the whole day. Sometimes, I just ignored him. Now when my hubby and I talk, he wants either of us to explain what we are talking. But my stand of \"no talking back\" stays. So far he has not experienced the taste of chilli yet. I told him if he does/says something which he

Hi Ruffybear, my almost 9 month old girl is always climbing onto anything she can get her hands on. If not, she will be crawling about. So tiring to follow her. Best part is now my 5 year old son is talking back. I've already warned him I don't like it. He remembers that sometimes and clams up. I've told him I will put chilli padi on his mouth if he does that again.

Hi Helena, my girl crawls backwards too when she first started. Now, she goes forwards and climbing on everything. She is 8 1/2 months now. This girl loves to eat. One moment she can play with toys, but when she sees anyone eating, she will drop everything and crawl towards the person holding the food.

Hi Miko, Wow, you've got a twins. Think you really must be tired with the 2. Especially at this stage, they are very curious about eveything. My daugther is 1day older than your darlings. She is able to walk when holding on to something, like sofa and cabinet. Most of the time she crawls. She had her first tooth when she was 9th months old. She is expecting her 4th right now. But her front tooth is not out yet. She will expressed herself when she wants something by pointing. Think if she knows

Joline, I think it takes time lor..dun need to rush your kid. Mine is more into music..so sing a lot of nursery rhyme to him..so far he can only follow the tune..not really the words. Mummum, My boy used to call dog as \"Wooh wooh \" also..but now have changed and call it dog when he sees the flashcard or real object. Last time he was not that keen on flashcards also.. I also let him see the real objects or toy object when teaching him.

Child at this age mostly has very short attention, thus need to make it very interesting and keep on repeating for many times for them. For my son, he can identified most of the item around him like, his potty, TV, vcd, shoes, water bottle, tree, flowers, bird, dog, cat, car, lorry, etc. But, come to flash card he not that keen, may be that's different between real object and flash card. But, he can't name out those things yet, only \"wo..wo.. for dog\", \"mum..mum.. for makan\"!

mummum, U are not the only one that buy fake Barney VCd I got 2 for Ryan but he doesn't like to watch them at all. He still prefers to watch the news- weather and stock report section only. I just play the VCD on the Cd player to let him hear the songs. He is more into flashcards at the moment..every morning will take his flashcards and ask me to read to him.

Haiz... we had a hard time when come to stop him from watching n watching (now even laid down to watch like boss , no good for eye sight!). Sometimes, he just when to press those button on the vcd player, stop n play, eject the cd n push it in again, on&off TV . He will get angry once we stop him from doing that, then we let him cry and laught at him at the sametime. Then he will stop crying faster, we then bring him to something else to switch his attraction. Talk abt those vcd, sorry that

Hi Theresa, my son also ever fall down from sofa few times before when he still don't know how to come down from sofa. He just too fast, few seconds oni he fall down liao! We take quite sometimes to teach him to lay down turn his body, leg go down 1st and reach the floor. You need to be patient for quite sometimes. But, my son still don't go down with above method, instead of what we teach him, he use his hand to hold on the handle or put on sofa and go down like normal adult with leg reach the floor 1st.

HOwever he will also call \"mama\"- granny, and \"jie jie\"..neighbour's kid or any older females he sees. The only time I heard him call \"mummy\" is when he wanted something and there is no one else to get i

Hi Eve, I think it may take between 1-2 mths before your son is able to walk normally. Some kids start off by tip-toe. It took about 1mth..now my son can walk independently at 13mths. He is even attempting to walk up and down stairs which I disallow him as I feel that he is not steady enough.

Thanks Ruffybear! My son can crawl by sitting very fast and can stand up by himself when holding the furniture. But, don't dare to move a lots along the furniture, from my observation he actually can't balance himself well (thus scare to move). He leg mussle is alright and he has strong and powerfull kick. Or sometimes, he rather smart to puts my hands under his armpit when want to stand up. Then, I try to reduce the strength helping him and let him to use more his own strength.

I feel that learning to walk for a bb is subjective as all develop at their own pace. I also know of friends bb that start walking at 11mths. It doesn't really matter to me as most of them will walk by 16mths. My boy is not a fast walker..but he is very talkative. He can talk non stop..sometimes we can understand what he is talking at time we can only guess. His favourite words are \"Daddy\", \"Mama\" and \"Flower\" at the moment.

Evonne, My boy was born on 5th March 2004. He loves to play with his moneybox also. He will ransack my purse for coins to put inside his moneybox. Since this week he has been walking holding our hands..He also likes climbing up the slide at the playground. He can also walk independently on his own for a short while (15-20 steps)..but prefers to have us hold his hand as he can walk faster then. Mummum, I think the best is to give your bb chance to move around by his/her own. Before he could walk on

He like to watch Barney VCDs every morning and likes to press buttons (TV, VCS players, phone, remote control, etc.). Any tips to get him walk more stable in short time (he don't like walker)?

Yes, my girl is a fast walker. She started to stand without holding onto anything at 8mths. Now she hates the walker, she would rather walk freely. For first time moms out there, things will get easier when your little ones start to walk.

Hi mummies, whao..so many replies within a few days. My son Ryan (13mths) has 8 teeth. Is learning to walk independently. Can walk between 10-15steps on his own. I think he should be steady by end of this month. He loves to go swimming. We try to go swimming once a week. He also loves exploring everywhere in the house..opening drawers/cupboards..fishing things out. Teaching him to put back the items in the drawer if he doesn't want to use them. So far sucessful 50% of the time.
