Changing the consistency of food for baby

Sometimes you find that the food you have prepared for your baby is either too liquid or too thick in consistency to feed your baby. To perfect its consistency, here's what you can add:

• Thinners to dilute food: boiled water, water used for boiling vegetables or meat, breast milk, formula milk, soup (without condiments), or apple juice.

• Thickeners to thicken food: cooked egg yolks, yogurt, mashed potato or sweet potato, crumbs from white bread, or cornstarch.
